Indians 44-55 vs Angels 61-39


The Angels were able to tie the series last night against the Indians with a 3-2 victory. Now both teams will be looking to win this series as they play a late afternoon game at 3:35. Both of these teams have been hot both going 7-3 in their last 10 games.

The Indians will send rookie left hander Aaron Laffey to the mound. Aaron is 5-6 with a 3.61 ERA this year. In his career VS the Angels he is 1-0 with a 1.80 ERA in one career start.

He will be going against the Angels ace John Lackey who this season is 7-2 with a 2.58 ERA this season. In his career VS the Indians he is 3-5 with a 2.85 ERA.

The player to watch for the Indians would be Jhonny Peralta who is 8 for 17 in his career VS John Lackey. Jhonny has also been red hot as of late.

The player to watch for the Angels would be Casey Kotchman who is lifetime 2 for 2 VS the Indians lefty Aaron Laffey.

Indians 44-54 vs Angels 60-39

Last night the Indians took the first game in LA behind the arm of Paul Byrd and the bat of Andy Marte. They have improved to 7-3 in their last ten games and are only 10 games under .500 now. The Angels are 6-4 in their last ten games.

The Indians will send spot starter Matt Ginter to the mound who picked up a win in his first start of the season. He went five scoreless innings and struck out 5 batters against the Rays.

The Angels will send Jerrod Weaver to the mound. This season he is 8-8 with a 4.03 ERA. He is 1-1 with a 5.09 ERA in his four career starts Vs the Tribe. He has yet to face the Indians in 08.

The player to watch for the Indians is Ryan Garko who was 1-3 with a homerun and 3 RBI vs Jerrod Weaver in 2007.

The player to watch for the Angels would be Juan Rivera who is 2 for 4 with a homerun and 4 RBI against Matt Ginter in 2005.
